Delight in the wholesome taste of homemade Jowar Methi Thalipeeth, a beloved Maharashtrian dish brimming with flavor and nutrition. Roast ¼ cup Peanuts and 4 nos Green Chilli on low flame. After roasting add 2 tbsp Cumin Seeds, and roast for a minute. Transfer to a plate and let it cool down.
Take Khal batta and make its coarse powder.
Take a bowl, add 2 cup Jowar Flour, ½ cup Besan (gram flour), ½ cup Wheat Flour, few onions from 2 nos Chopped Onions in Long size1 bunch Chopped Fenugreek Leaves, Mixture of coarse powder we made in 2nd step, 2 tsp Carom Seeds, ½ tsp Turmeric Powder and 2 tsp salt. Mix them thoroughly.
Add 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste and mix it as well. Now start adding little quantity of water and make a hard dough.
Take a cotton cloth and make it wet, put on a rolling board. Make hands wet and take a small amount of dough for giving it a round shape. Tap hands on the dough on the wet cloth and give it a round shape. Sprinkle few Sesame seeds and make a few holes.
Heat tawa and put oil. Transfer the round shape of dough to tawa using the cloth below. Roast both sides on medium to high flame. Put a few drops of oil in holes as well. It took 5 mins to roast one Thalipeeth. repeat the process with wetting the cloth again. Add onion as topping for who loves to have more onions. Jowar Methi Thalipeeth is ready.
