  • 1/2 cup flax seeds (alsi)
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds (til)
  • Almonds (as desired)
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • Soft dates (khajoor)
  • 2 tbsp ghee (for dates)
  • 1/4 cup ghee (optional, for binding)

Step 1: Prepare the Dry Ingredients

Dry roast 1/2 cup flax seeds on low heat for 4–5 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Dry roast 1/2 cup sesame seeds on low heat for 2–3 minutes. Set aside.

Dry roast the almonds for 1 minute. Add 1 tbsp ghee and continue roasting until crunchy. Let them cool and chop them.

Grind 2 cups roasted chana into a fine powder.

Dry roast the chana powder on low heat for 3–4 minutes to remove any raw taste.

Step 2: Grind & Mix

Grind the cooled flax seeds and sesame seeds into a coarse powder.

In a large bowl, combine:

  • Roasted chana powder
  • Ground flax and sesame seeds
  • Chopped almonds
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

Mix everything well.

Step 3: Sweeten & Bind

Heat the soft dates with 2 tbsp ghee for 3–4 minutes until softened.

Grind the softened dates into a smooth paste.

Add the date paste to the dry mixture.

If needed, add up to 1/4 cup ghee for better binding.

Mix thoroughly and press the mixture firmly to shape into laddus.
