Rice and Lentils in Pressure Cooker

- 1 Pressure Cooker
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- ½ cup Tur Dal (Pigeon pea)
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Salt or as per taste
Instructions
- Take Pressure cooker vessels and add 1 cup Ricein one and ½ cup Tur Dal (Pigeon pea) in another.
- Wash Rice and Dal thoroughly, add 2 cups water in Rice container and half cup in dal container.
- Add a pinch of salt in rice and place it on the Dal container. Take the cooker utensil and add 1½ cup water. and place the stand. Transfer the Rice and Dal container inside the cooker and close the lid.
- Heat on high flame until the whistle blows. Lower the flame and let it whistle. high the flame and let it whistle. While the fourth is about to whistle, turn off the flame and let the cooker cool down.
- Open the lid after all the pressure is gone, check by lifting the whistle. Remove the containers.
- Add ½ tsp Turmeric Powder and 1 tsp Salt in cooked dal. Add the water which is in pressure cooker. Now mix them thoroughly. Rice and Lentils is ready.
