  • Steel Kadhai
  • Spatula

  • 3 cup Chickpea Flour Sieved Flour
  • 1 cup Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 200 gms Dry Coconut
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 400 gms Grated Jaggery


  • Take a steel Kadhai and heat 3 cup Chickpea Flour. Stir so that evenly it gets heated.
  • Now add 1 cup Ghee and mix it until the colour gets brownish. Now add 2 tbsp Ghee and mix it thoroughly and stir.
  • Take 200 gms Dry Coconut pieces in mixer grinder jar and grind it to a powder form.
  • While stirring in kadhai, for around 15 minutes, now add powdered coconut and mix it.
  • Keep it stirring for 3 more minutes. Turn off the flame and remove the kadhai from stove. Keep stirring.
  • Now add 1 tsp Cardamom Powder and mix it. Let it cool down a little.
  • Now add 400 gms Grated Jaggery and mix it thoroughly.
  • Take a plate and grease it with ghee on the surface.
  • Transfer the mixture to the plate and spread evenly using any of available tools. Let it cool down for 30 minutes.
  • Using knife cut into diamond shape pieces. Keep a piece of Cashew on each piece of barfi.
  • Gently remove each piece and collect in a container.



Can store for 15-20 days in a container.
